IMPORTANT INFORMATION – START TIME IS NOW 10:00am

The forecast for Saturday continues to indicate very high temperatures which are a concern for organisers and competitors alike.

To minimise paddler exposure to these high temperatures we have had little choice but to bring the Start Times further forward.

26km Start Time – 10:00am
13km Start Time – 10:15am
6km Start Time – 10:30am

Further, we have felt it necessary to make changes to the course, which will now be run as series of 6km laps.
The 26km Course will now be three (3) 6km laps, for a total of 18km.
The 13km Course will now be two (2) 6km laps, for a total of 12km.
The 6km Course remains unchanged as 1 lap.

We appreciate that some paddlers may be disappointed with these changes, but we are confident that everyone understands that the safety of all paddlers must come first.

The Final Start List, as at close of entries, and with any distance changes as requested can be seen HERE

Paddler Check-in will open as early as possible on Saturday morning, with Race Briefing (mandatory for all paddlers) to be at 09:30am.

Please remember to bring and drink plenty of fluids in the lead-up to, and during your race.

Welcome to the 4th running of the annual Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge part of the 2020 PaddleNSW Marathon Series (bonus round). Combining the original Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge and the PaddleNSW Marathon Series has given us the opportunity to combine both events into one and still cater for all levels of paddlers in what will be a unique and enjoyable experience on the mighty Clyde River.

This year the event will be held on the Clyde River foreshore in front of the BIG 4 Batemans Bay Easts Riverside Park which is right next door to Korners Park the location of the past 2 events. With the new Batemans Bay Bridge under construction Korners Park is being utilised as an equipment holding compound. We are thankful for the support of the Caravan Park to allow us the use of the grassed land in front of the Caravan Park.
